Dr. Vo Thanh Hai commented: "Overall, the score distribution of the 11 subjects this year is relatively good, has high differentiation and accurately reflects the quality of the exam."
Specifically, compared to the score in 2024, the median score this year is 2.2 points lower. The median score in 2024 was 6.8, this year it is 4.6. In particular, the average score in Math has changed a lot, but the median score in Physics has increased. Therefore, the admission score of the admission combination with Math - Physics and Chemistry will decrease this year; the admission combination with Math is expected to decrease by about 0.5 - 1 point.
Regarding the median score of English, according to Dr. Vo Thanh Hai's analysis, there was a change but not significant, only 0.2 difference compared to 2024. "The average score of English decreased by 0.13. Parents and students after taking the English test all commented that the test was very difficult, but looking at the score distribution, there was no big difference compared to previous years. This year, the number of candidates registering for the English test was not much. Maybe because students already had English certificates to use in admission and high school graduation exams," Mr. Hai commented.
If we look at the scores of each subject separately, the 10 points this year are relatively high compared to 2024. For example, in Math, although the general level of the questions is difficult, 500 candidates scored 10 points on the test, while in 2024 there were only 10 candidates. Therefore, for top universities, the admission scores for popular majors will not change much.

For mid- and lower-ranked schools, the Vice President of Duy Tan University said that the expected benchmark score is lower than in 2024. For admission combinations with Math, the admission score is likely to decrease by 1-1.5 points for mid-ranked schools. The combination with English alone does not change much because the number of candidates with a score of 7 accounts for more than 15% while the number with a score below 5 is only 38%. Thus, more than 60% of candidates scored above 5 in this subject.
If in 2024, universities allocated quotas for different admission methods, this year, all admission methods must be converted to one scale and there will be only one general admission round, with no early admission.
Mr. Hai said that with the score range of the exam subjects like this year, the enrollment source of the lower group universities is basically stable as in 2024. For the top schools, the admission scores are stable or decrease insignificantly because the exam scores are well differentiated. The middle and lower-ranked schools are expected to have lower scores from 1 to 1.5 points. With this score range, in the condition that the admission methods take place in the same round, the admission scores of the same major at the schools will not differ much.
Dr. Vo Thanh Hai advises candidates to register at least 4 wishes so as not to lose the opportunity to be admitted.
