Recently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with Vietnam Railways Corporation and related agencies and units to organize a trial run of the train from Hanoi to Thai Nguyen, to evaluate and perfect the exploitation idea associated with promoting tea culture and developing tourism.
On the faces of each participating passenger is the excitement, looking forward to the train departure to experience and enjoy the natural scenery on each route. The tourist railway connects Hanoi - Thai Nguyen, through many stations with 4 stops: Pho Yen, Luu Xa, Thai Nguyen and Quan Trieu stations, a distance of more than 70km. The train starts its journey at 8am. The travel time is about 2 hours and 30 minutes, stopping at each station for 10 minutes. Passengers on the QT3 train departing from Hanoi station will experience Pho Yen, Luu Xa, Thai Nguyen stations and end the journey at Quan Trieu station.
The waiting rooms of Pho Yen, Luu Xa, Thai Nguyen, and Quan Trieu stations simulate a space to promote tea culture combined with displaying and introducing typical OCOP products of Thai Nguyen province. Not only that, during the journey on the train, passengers can also listen to Then singing melodies of Tay girls in traditional costumes, and are invited to enjoy Thai tea and local specialty cakes.

At the Seminar on Developing Tourism Products Associated with Promoting Tea Culture on the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Railway, experts stated that in order for train tourism to become an attractive segment, in addition to investing in improving train cars in a more synchronous and modern direction, Thai Nguyen province's tourism products associated with the railway must ensure a complete package from transportation to relaxation, dining, and entertainment.
Many opinions also say that the stations themselves are unique architectural works, so they need to be invested in to become impressive destinations; at the same time, there must be close connections so that ground services such as transportation, sightseeing, and accommodation when tourists stop in the locality are best guaranteed, giving tourists a complete experience.

The exploitation of the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen tourist train route is a new idea, promising to contribute to the development of tourism in Thai Nguyen as well as contribute to further improving services for the Vietnam Railways industry.
