The letters are written in a concise, simple style, full of emotion, vividly portraying the life, society, and family feelings of General Nguyen Chi Thanh during the resistance years, possessing both historical value and profound humanistic qualities. The letters also mention many high-ranking officers of the Vietnam People's Army – those who left a strong mark on the nation's history.
