Mr. Vo Ai Dan, 85 years old, Head of the Board of Directors of the Ben Tre Mutual Aid Association in Ho Chi Minh City, emotionally shared: “Amidst the lush green mountains and islands, what I cherish most about the soldiers in green uniforms is their constant protection of the borders, islands, skies, and seas, ensuring they remain a peaceful green. I was once a revolutionary soldier, captured and imprisoned by the enemy, and it was thanks to the soldiers that the islands were liberated. Therefore, on this journey back to our roots, the gifts that the delegation brings, though not of great material value, contain all the respect, love, and profound gratitude we send to the officers and soldiers who are holding their weapons firmly on the front lines day and night; we hope that you will continue to preserve the peaceful green for our country today and in the future.”

“Understanding and sharing the sacrifices and hardships of the officers and soldiers at the border posts in the most challenging locations, the mothers, aunts, wives, sisters, and daughters in the rear are immensely proud and always follow every step of their comrades. Although we know that military life is full of difficulties, far from family and homeland, please always remain steadfast, because behind you there is always a loving support system, the arms of your mothers, wives, and loved ones silently sharing and giving you strength,” expressed Ms. Ly Thi Tiep, Head of the Traditional Mothers' Association in Phuoc Long Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Here, the delegation listened to officers and soldiers share about the advantages and difficulties they face while performing their duties on the border lines, and their determination to overcome obstacles and maintain peace for their homeland.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quoc Phu, Political Officer of the Ganh Dau Border Guard Station, expressed his joy: “Receiving gifts from the home front for our officers and soldiers is a great honor and source of pride. The sincere feelings of the people in the home front have encouraged us to continue upholding our sense of responsibility, maintaining our political steadfastness, proactively grasping the local situation; effectively carrying out mass mobilization and people-to-people diplomacy, helping people overcome poverty through concrete and effective methods suitable to the local reality; so that the border remains green forever, contributing to building a comprehensive border defense system, and firmly protecting the territorial sovereignty and border security of the Fatherland.”
