Construction of welded groyne project at sea dyke 1, Do Son ward

According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works in Hai Phong, after more than 1 year of construction, by July 28, component project No. 1, the Sea Dike Welded Mine Revetment System 1, Do Son Ward, had basically completed the construction and installation volume .

Completed items include the seaward embankment body and seaward embankment wings. Currently, construction units are focusing on human resources and materials to complete the final stages such as paving the embankment surface at some locations of the embankment body adjacent to the foot of sea dike 1; striving to complete the entire project in August 2025.

The construction of Mo Han sea dike 1 has encountered many difficulties in the past due to unfavorable weather conditions and high dependence on tidal water. The transportation of materials and equipment has also encountered many difficulties, so contractors have had to organize construction at night.

The T-shaped groyne revetment system of sea dike 1, Do Son district, Hai Phong city belongs to component project No. 1 approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (formerly) in Decision No. 4979/QD-BNN-PCTT dated December 22, 2022. The project will build 4 T-shaped groyne revetments on sea dike 1 (corresponding to Km14+350 to Km15+525), including 2 new revetments and 2 existing revetments extended. Implementation period is the end of 2025. Total investment is 120 billion VND.

The total land area for project implementation is 7.9 ha. Of which, the forestry land area within the project scope is 5.43 ha. The area that must be converted from forest use to other purposes to implement the project is 0.98 ha. At the 15th session (special meeting), the 15th City People's Council approved the conversion of forest use to other purposes to implement the project to build a sea dike welding system 1.

This project is part of the "Project to consolidate, complete and handle landslides of sea dykes in some Northern provinces" of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ), implementation period from 2022 - 2025.
