From the 32 candidates who passed the preliminary round, the organizers arranged for them to compete in 4 nights of the selection round to find the 9 best people to compete in the final round of the 2025 Golden Bell of Traditional Music Awards.
When the Golden Bell of Traditional Music was first held, Ha Nhu was just born.
This year, the station has made many changes to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Golden Bell Awards. One of those changes is the way the selection round is conducted.
If in previous years in this round each contestant performed a traditional song, this year they will draw lots to pair up to compete together.
The 32 contestants are divided equally into 4 competition nights, meaning each night has 8 contestants. With the pairing rule, each night has only 4 cai luong excerpts with a duration of about 12 minutes.
Le Thi Ha Nhu competed with contestant Tan Dat in the performance "Nuoc non ngan dam" . She transformed into Princess Huyen Tran, and Tan Dat was Tran Khac Chung.
Even though they were the last couple of the night, they impressed with their sweet, strong voices, a match made in heaven.

Judge Ho Ngoc Trinh was surprised when she saw the list and discovered that Ha Nhu was born in 2006, the first year Ho Chi Minh City Television organized the Golden Bell of Traditional Opera (at that time it was called Traditional Opera Star of Television).
What an interesting coincidence, when the child "the same age" as Golden Bell of Traditional Music is now a contestant participating in the special season, celebrating the 20th season of Golden Bell of Traditional Music.
Ngoc Trinh commented that Ha Nhu has very strong inner strength, she knows how to use that advantage to handle the songs in the performance effectively.
Judge Ngoc Doi praised Nhu for her sweet voice and singing the acute accented words very well. Guest judge Chi Tam said that Nhu recited poetry very well, sang vọng cổ well, and had potential, but he noted that Như should shorten the space between two sentences a bit and pay attention to pronunciation.
Judge Vo Minh Lam could not hide his excitement when he confided that he heard the performance of the two like a pair of birds singing. The harmony of Nhu and Dat created an attractive excerpt.

Ha Nhu and Tan Dat won tickets to the final ranking
With such convincing performances, Ha Nhu and Tan Dat were the two contestants of the first night of the selection round chosen to enter the final ranking round. Vo Minh Lam also emphasized when voting for Ha Nhu: "I think if I don't choose you, I will regret missing out on a bright actress in the future."
According to the rules, in each selection night, the professional jury will select 2 contestants. From 4 nights, 8 contestants will be selected.
Guest judges each night will select one contestant to be included in the Breakthrough Contestants list.
The contestants who make it to the breakthrough list will continue to be voted on by the audience. The contestant with the most votes will be the ninth contestant to enter the final ranking round taking place in September this year.
During the competition night on August 3, judge Chi Tam chose contestant Ly Trung Cuong to be on the breakthrough list.
Ly Trung Cuong was already a professional actor of Cao Van Lau Theater. However, in the first selection night, he did not perform very well. Therefore, being on the list of breakthrough candidates is considered another opportunity for Cuong, who knows, luck will smile on the young man.
