On May 19, a clip went viral on social media showing a kindergarten teacher abusing a child in class. During lunch break, the teacher used a ruler to hit a boy’s buttocks and hands multiple times.

According to the content of the post with the clip, the incident happened at Hoa Mai Kindergarten, Da Bac town, Da Bac district ( Hoa Binh ). The post has attracted public attention, many people suggested that the teacher in the clip needs to be verified and strictly handled.

On the afternoon of May 21, speaking with VietNamNet, Ms. Ban Kim Quy - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Bac district - said that the People's Committee of the district had decided to suspend the teacher in the clip for 15 days, after receiving the verification report and minutes of the meeting from the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committee of Da Bac town.

According to a report by the People's Committee of Da Bac district, the video was determined to have taken place during the 2023-2024 school year in a kindergarten class for children aged 24-36 months, Hoa Mai Kindergarten, Da Bac town. The teacher in the clip above is Dinh Thi Anh.

At the meeting, Ms. Dinh Thi Anh admitted that she was the one who acted in the video that went viral on social media and sincerely accepted responsibility. She admitted that her behavior violated the ethics of teachers, seriously affected students and the school, and caused bad public opinion in society.

Currently, the authorities are verifying and clarifying the responsibilities of the relevant groups and individuals.

Regarding the case of a parent whose child attended preschool in Hoang Mai district ( Hanoi ) accusing her 3-year-old son of being abused by a teacher, the homeroom teacher apologized to the students and parents.
