In response to the situation, FAM President Datuk Mohd Joehari Ayub spoke up to affirm transparency: “We are not joking around with this issue. FIFA has looked into everything. We always follow the procedures and guidelines they have set.”
The FAM chief also confirmed that there was no reason to hide information related to the naturalized players being brought into the national team. Datuk Mohd Joehari Ayub added: “If we want to disclose it, there is no problem. Everything has been confirmed by FIFA. So we need to follow the right procedures.
If FAM had any problems or incidents, FIFA would not have approved. But in this case, everything was approved. All procedures were completed through the appropriate channels.”
Meanwhile, Harian Metro newspaper confirmed that Malaysia will naturalize more strongly, after rumors of illegal naturalization appeared. In the near future, the Malaysian team may naturalize 6-10 new players.

The documentation process is in the final stages to ensure they can feature for the national team during the FIFA Days in September.”
According to Indonesian media, if proven guilty, the Malaysian team could be severely punished. They could be disqualified from the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers by losing to the Vietnamese team.
