What is the time frame for registration for primary school admission?

According to the document on the time frame for the 2023-2024 school year enrollment registration plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, in phases 1 and 2 (from May 4 to June 5), parents will check and review their children's information on the Ho Chi Minh City online enrollment system to see if there are any inaccuracies in order to promptly make adjustments.

The document emphasizes that after phase 2, the information will be updated, and parents will officially register in phase 3. Phase 3 will be based on the time in the primary enrollment plan of each district, county, and Thu Duc City Department of Education and Training. Therefore, parents will officially register for primary enrollment in grades 1, 6, and preschool according to the enrollment plan and instructions of the Department of Education and Training. The admission results will be announced on the primary enrollment electronic portal of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training. The expected time to announce students entering advanced, internationally integrated schools is July 15. The time to announce city-wide results for all levels is August 1, 2023.

How is the Department of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh City conducting first grade enrollment?

As Mr. Vo Thien Cang shared, each enrollment steering committee of districts, Thu Duc City (HCMC) has a primary enrollment plan with different time frames.

Specifically, according to the instructions of the Department of Education and Training of District 4, the first round of admission to grade 1 at schools in District 4 will be conducted from May 12 to June 5. During this time, parents can check information and register their children at the primary school admissions electronic portal https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.

From June 6-15, the Department of Education and Training of District 4 will divide the children into schools.

From June 16-23, parents can check the admission results. If they agree with the admission results, they will confirm their admission on the admission software. If they are not accepted, parents can register their children in the second round (from June 24-July 14).

Therefore, as of today (June 22), parents in District 4 can check their children's first grade admission results and confirm enrollment on the admission software.

Meanwhile, the People's Committee of District 1 stipulates that the registration for primary school admission will be carried out in 2 phases. Phase 1 from May 12 to June 5, parents will access the primary school admission page of the Department of Education and Training https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn to review the information of registered students.

Phase 2: From June 10 to 23, parents access the primary school admissions page to register for admission. Thus, as of today (June 22), parents in District 1 are still in the process of registering for first grade admission.

From June 24, the District 1 Admissions Steering Committee will base on the plan to mobilize children to attend classes and enroll them in primary classes along with the district's enrollment data on the system to allocate study places. The digital map ofthe education sector (GIS map) can be used for reference. Parents can access the primary enrollment page to see enrollment results.

According to the plan, on July 6, District 1 will announce the admission results of advanced, internationally integrated schools. From July 6 to 5:00 p.m. on July 10, parents will confirm their admission online and submit their admission application directly to the school.

For the remaining schools, the district admissions board will announce the results on July 17.

Those who do not have an identification code or have not attended a preschool in District 8; and students returning from other places will be guided and supported after August 1, 2023.

District 5 also has specific instructions on registering for grade 1, grade 6, and preschool. From June 10-23, parents will officially register for admission at https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.

From June 24, the District 5 Admissions Steering Committee will base on the admissions data on the system to allocate schools, then send the list to the District 5 Education and Training Department before June 27 to enter data into the admissions system.

From July 3-14, District 5 guides parents to access the Department of Education and Training's enrollment system to view the results of the first grade, preschool, and sixth grade admissions; register for admission (if not registered, the application is invalid).
