Is there a time limit for health insurance support for safe communes?

(Chinhphu.vn) - Mr. Tran Tuan Khanh's commune has been recognized as a safe zone commune according to Decision No. 1316/QD-TTg dated November 1, 2024 of the Prime Minister. Mr. Khanh asked, how long is the support for health insurance payment for people in safe zone communes valid?

Regarding this issue, Vietnam Social Security responds as follows:

Decree No. 75/2023/ND-CP dated September 19, 2023 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 146/2018/ND-CP dated October 17, 2018 of the Government detailing and guiding measures to implement a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance stipulates:

"People in safe zone communes and revolutionary safe zones during the resistance war against France and the US who are currently residing in safe zone communes during the resistance war against France and the US have had their information updated in the National Population Database and the Residence Database but are not subject to the provisions of Clauses 1, 2 and 3, Article 12 of the Law on Health Insurance" have their health insurance paid for by the state budget and there is no regulation on the period of support for health insurance payment.
