During the relief mission in the capital Naypyidaw, the rescue team of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security continued to support the lives of Myanmar people affected by the earthquake.

This afternoon (April 5), in parallel with the task force carrying out the search for victims at Jade City Hotel, another task force gathered equipment such as tents, beds, medical supplies, medicine and other necessities such as instant noodles, dry food, clean water... taken from the necessities and supplies for the group.

Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Head of the Ministry of Public Security's rescue team, shared: "The items brought along for work are also in great need of local people. I have asked for the opinion of the Ministry of Public Security's leaders and they have agreed to donate the equipment to the people of Myanmar."

The destination of the Ministry of Public Security delegation this afternoon is the 1,000-bed General Hospital, the largest hospital in the capital Naypyidaw. There are many patients seriously injured by the earthquake. However, due to the damaged infrastructure, many patients have to be treated outdoors, including seriously ill patients with traumatic brain injuries, broken arms, broken legs... who are receiving IVs.

On the same afternoon, 2 platoon tents with a capacity of 12 beds were quickly set up by the soldiers of the Vietnam People's Public Security. A number of medicines and medical equipment were also donated to doctors at the hospital to further support the treatment work. Of which, the medical supplies were about 200 boxes of medical masks, 50 protective clothing, about 100 bottles of hand sanitizer, 30 thermometers, 30 blood pressure monitors, 30 SpO2 monitors; 300 sets of medicines including: antibiotics, pain relievers, anti-inflammatory drugs, brain tonics...

Doctor Soe Mon Mon, at the 1,000-bed General Hospital, emotionally expressed: Thank you very much for coming at this time. What you bring is not only a material gift but also a great source of spiritual encouragement for the patients.
In addition to necessities such as fast food and drinks, the officers and soldiers in the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security also donated a small amount of money to give to the Myanmar people in difficulty here. With the spirit of mutual love and international responsibility, the officers in the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam wish to share in some way the difficulties of the Myanmar people in distress.
