Dien Lam Commune Police destroyed a crocodile suspected of attacking a young man who went fishing.

On the afternoon of October 13, the leader of Dien Lam Commune Police (Khanh Hoa Province) confirmed that the Commune Police force had opened fire and killed a crocodile suspected of attacking Mr. HKQ (born in 2003, residing in Ba Dui Hamlet, Bac Khanh Vinh Commune) on October 8 in the Cho River area, near Suoi Sau B Bridge, Xuan Trung Hamlet, Dien Lam Commune, causing panic in the community.

The crocodile was shot and killed by authorities and brought to shore.

According to information, after many days of searching on the Cho River, at nearly 3:00 p.m. on October 13, after receiving information from people about the discovery of a crocodile appearing about 100 meters downstream from the location where Mr. Q. was attacked, the Dien Lam Commune Police force approached the scene. Under the direction of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, the Commune Police opened fire and killed the crocodile.

After being carried ashore, Dien Lam Commune Police determined that the animal was 2.65 meters long, weighed about 70-80 kg, was a freshwater crocodile, and could pose a danger to humans.

Earlier, on the morning of October 8, Mr. HKQ went to the Cho River area to fish. While wading into the river to remove a hook that was caught on a tree branch, he was suddenly attacked by a crocodile on his right arm and left leg. After struggling for a while, Mr. Quang was lucky to escape, climbed ashore and was taken to Khanh Binh Medical Station for first aid. Up to now, his health has stabilized, but the incident has made local people worried about the appearance of crocodiles in the area.

Currently, Dien Lam Commune Police are coordinating with relevant functional units to handle the case according to the law.
