At the conference, representatives of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the Decision of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam on the organization of the State Bank of Vietnam Branch in Region 13 and announced the Decisions on transfer and appointment of: 2 Deputy Directors, 1 Department Head and 4 Deputy Department Heads.

Previously, the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 branch was established under Decision No. 313/QD-NHNN dated February 24, 2025, on the basis of merging the State Bank branches in the provinces of Tien Giang, Long An, Ben Tre and Tra Vinh.

In this restructuring of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 will be adjusted to manage the additional areas of Dong Thap province (formerly) under the State Bank of Vietnam Branch Region 15 and Tay Ninh province (formerly) under the State Bank of Vietnam Branch Region 12. The areas of Ben Tre province and Tra Vinh province will be transferred to the management of State Bank of Vietnam Branch Region 14.

Currently, the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 branch, headquartered in Dong Thap province (new), has the function of advising and assisting the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam in performing state management of currency, banking and foreign exchange activities in Dong Thap and Tay Ninh provinces.

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Canh, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, presented flowers to congratulate and introduce the Board of Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 Branch.

The State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 branch has an organizational structure consisting of 7 departments: General Department; Regional State Bank Inspectorate; Department of Management and Supervision of Banks, Foreign Bank Branches and Other Organizations (referred to as Department of Management and Supervision 1); Department of Management and Supervision of People's Credit Funds, Microfinance Institutions, Microfinance Programs and Projects (referred to as Department of Management and Supervision 2); Department of Accounting - Payment; Department of Currency - Treasury; Department of Administration - Personnel.

Comrade Tran Van Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee spoke at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Van Dung congratulated the collective of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 branch and emphasized that this is an important event, not only marking the completion of the organizational structure but also affirming the key role and new position of the banking sector in accompanying and supporting the province to realize the breakthrough socio-economic development goals in 2025. At the same time, he believes that the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 branch will continue to promote its role and direct credit institutions to focus resources on the province's priority areas such as high-tech agriculture, circular economy, green credit and export support, etc.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Canh, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, hopes that the Director, Deputy Directors, leaders of departments and each civil servant and employee need to promote the highest responsibility of a Party member and civil servant, make every effort, improve management capacity, professional capacity, to implement and complete assigned political tasks. At the same time, banking activities also need to receive the attention, direction and comprehensive support of local Party committees and authorities, close coordination of provincial departments, branches and sectors so that the banking sector can accompany the Government and localities to strive to achieve the highest level of the 5-year plan 2021 - 2025. Especially the task of meeting the demand for capital and banking services to serve the goal of accelerating and making a strong breakthrough to achieve a growth rate of at least 8% for the whole year and create momentum, force and foundation for double-digit growth in the period 2026 - 2030.

On this occasion, the State Bank of Vietnam presented a symbolic plaque of 4 billion VND donated by officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the banking sector to help eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Tay Ninh province.
