Civil servants will be paid according to their job positions before July 2027

(QNgTV) - The Prime Minister requested central and local ministries, branches to complete the arrangement of job positions and salary scales corresponding to civil servants before July 1, 2027.

The plan to implement the Law on Cadres and Civil Servants in 2025 was issued on July 22, assigning responsibility to ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of organizations established by the Government or the Prime Minister but not public service units, and chairmen of People's Committees at provincial and municipal levels to implement this content.

The People's Committees at the commune level must also complete the job placement and corresponding ranks for commune-level civil servants recruited before the Law takes effect, if they meet the standards and qualifications. Currently, civil servants are still paid according to the coefficient multiplied by the basic salary, from July 2024, it is 2.34 million VND/month.

According to this calculation, the lowest salary of civil servants is about 3.1 million VND/month and the highest is about 23.4 million VND/month, excluding allowances.
