accelerated, civil servants who voluntarily resign will receive severance pay as follows:
+ Receive 3 months of current salary as subsidy.
+ Receive a subsidy of 1.5 months of current salary for each year of work with mandatory social insurance.
+ Reserve mandatory social insurance payment period or receive one-time social insurance according to the provisions of the law on social insurance.

Current monthly salary is the salary of the month immediately preceding the termination of employment. Monthly salary is calculated including: Salary according to grade, level; leadership position allowance; seniority allowance exceeds the framework, seniority allowance and salary retention difference coefficient (if any) according to regulations of the law on salary.
The allowance equal to 1 month of current salary is applied to cases with total working time before leaving the job from 6 months to less than 12 months.
Civil servants who have been notified of retirement or are subject to staff reduction or forced resignation according to the provisions of law are not eligible for the above-mentioned severance allowance.
Working time is calculated for severance pay
The period for calculating severance allowance is the total period calculated by year with mandatory social insurance contributions (if there is a break, it will be accumulated) without receiving severance allowance or demobilization allowance, including:
+ Working time in agencies, organizations, units of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations.
+ Time working in the People's Army and People's Police.
+ Working time at the association is assigned by the Party and State, according to the staffing assigned quota by the competent authority.
+ Time spent on training and development by agencies, organizations and units.
+ Paid leave according to labor law.
+ Time off for sickness, maternity, work accident, occupational disease, and recuperation according to the provisions of the law on social insurance.
+ Time of disciplinary action or prosecution that has been concluded by criminal authorities or organizations as unjust or wrongful.
+ Time of temporary suspension from work according to regulations of competent authority.
The working time specified above, if there is an odd month, is calculated as follows:
Under 3 months does not count.
From 3 months to 6 months is counted as 1/2 year of work.
From 6 months to 12 months is counted as 1 working year.
