In response to the Workers' Month and the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, the TKV Trade Union has implemented many practical and effective activities.

In implementing the Workers' Month and the Occupational Safety and Health Action Month plan for 2026, the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Workers' Union (TKV Union) and all levels of unions throughout the Group have carried out many practical and effective activities with the themes "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation and Creativity Improvement" and "Innovation in Management and Improvement of Occupational Safety and Health Effectiveness in the Digital Age".

Strengthening propaganda and education efforts to spread pride in our traditions.

In the vibrant atmosphere of the 2026 Workers' Month, officials, union members, and workers in the Coal and Mineral industry were honored to be among the delegations participating in the parade showcasing their strength and attending the ceremony commemorating the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day, and honoring outstanding grassroots trade union chairmen for their exemplary work in dialogue and collective bargaining in 2026, organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. This activity contributed to affirming the position and role of the working class in the Coal and Mineral industry in the cause of national development.

In addition, the online competition to learn about the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the TKV Trade Union and the 90th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Miners in the Coal Mining Region - the Tradition of the Coal Industry - created a strong impact among union members and workers. The competition attracted 62,745 participants, becoming a widespread political activity that contributed to educating about traditions, strengthening the faith and cohesion of union members and workers with the Trade Union organization.

Promoting grassroots democracy through the "May Dialogue" program.

One of the highlights of this year's Workers' Month was the effective organization of the "May Dialogue" program. Grassroots trade unions proactively advised the Party committees and coordinated with relevant departments to organize direct dialogues between workers and employers; strengthened the monitoring of workers' thoughts and opinions; promptly reflected and resolved issues of concern to workers, while also sharing information on the production and business situation of enterprises.

During the month, the entire Group organized 118 dialogue sessions with the participation of 11,297 workers; receiving and resolving 525 opinions and suggestions from employees. Through these dialogue activities, many issues directly related to the rights, working conditions, and policies of employees were reviewed and proposed for adjustment to suit practical realities.

Providing comprehensive care for the material and spiritual well-being of union members and workers.

With a strong focus on grassroots activities and workers, trade unions at all levels have proactively coordinated with professional departments to implement many practical welfare activities.

During Workers' Month, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Group, and the TKV Trade Union directly visited construction sites, workshops, and mines to offer encouragement and gifts to 145 collectives, including 118 outstanding collectives and 22 collectives facing difficulties and overcoming challenges, along with 670 outstanding occupational safety and health officers, with a total support amount of 3.47 billion VND.

The TKV Trade Union continues to implement the "Miners' Welfare" program, organizing rehabilitation and health recovery for 3,000 workers who suffered work accidents, occupational diseases, or reduced working capacity; reviewing and approving support for the construction of 108 "Trade Union Shelter" houses in the first phase of 2026; coordinating and advising workers on accessing social housing projects in Quang Ninh province; and inspecting and working with units on living conditions in workers' collective housing areas.

At the unit level, trade unions have implemented numerous activities to care for, visit, and support 2,103 workers in difficult circumstances and those with outstanding achievements in labor and production, with a total amount exceeding 53 billion VND; organized tours, vacations, and health care for 14,903 workers with a budget of over 22 billion VND; provided periodic health check-ups for 58,140 people; organized "Trade Union Meals" for 25,024 workers, with additional support of nearly 1.5 billion VND; and organized vibrant cultural and sports activities at the grassroots level.

Promoting the creative labor movement and increasing labor productivity.

In response to the theme of Workers' Month 2026, trade unions at all levels have coordinated with professional departments to promote labor and production emulation movements, focusing on improving labor productivity, ensuring working days and hours, and fulfilling production and business targets.

The movement to promote initiatives, improve technology, and rationalize production continues to be widely implemented, creating an environment for workers to unleash their intelligence and creativity in labor and production.

During the month, the entire Group registered and completed 257 emulation projects. The TKV Trade Union organized the unveiling of plaques for 3 outstanding projects at Cao Son Coal Company, Duong Huy Coal Company, and Thong Nhat Coal Company to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the TKV Trade Union.

In addition, the TKV Trade Union organized the review and recognition of 311 individuals who achieved the title of "Creative Miner," acknowledging their outstanding contributions to the movement of technical innovation and improvement, and the application of science and technology in production.

The units also actively organized skilled worker competitions at the grassroots level, selecting teams to participate in the 13th Group-level Skilled Worker Competition in 2026, contributing to improving the skill level and quality of human resources.

Promote the development of Party members and their participation in Party building.

The 2026 Workers' Month also marked a peak period for developing union membership and building strong trade union organizations. Trade unions at all levels coordinated with relevant departments to implement various solutions for recruiting, attracting, and retaining workers; strengthening meetings to understand the thoughts and aspirations of workers, especially those in underground mines and industries with high recruitment needs.

In response to the "30th Anniversary of the TKV Trade Union Membership Program," the units have admitted 701 new members, achieving over 140% of the plan for phase 1 and exceeding the minimum target during Workers' Month, contributing to the goal of admitting 1,000 new members in 2026.

Through emulation movements, trade unions at all levels have identified and nurtured many outstanding union members, recommending them to the Party for consideration of membership. This month, 226 outstanding union members were recommended to Party committees at various levels for further training and development into Party members.

Strengthening occupational safety and health practices.

Recognizing occupational safety and health as a central and ongoing task, trade unions at all levels have closely coordinated with professional departments to implement many solutions aimed at improving the effectiveness of safety work in production.

The entire Group currently maintains a network of 6,509 occupational safety and health inspectors. During the peak month, the occupational safety and health inspectors made 6,818 recommendations on occupational safety and health; trade unions at all levels led or coordinated 248 on-site inspections, thematic inspections, surprise inspections, and shift inspections, thereby proposing 246 solutions to improve working conditions and prevent safety hazards.

Training and professional development were given attention, with 4,535 occupational safety and health inspectors receiving training; trade union officials at all levels participated in activities at 512 occupational safety and health inspector groups, contributing to improving the quality of the occupational safety and health inspector network.

Thanks to the synchronized implementation of various solutions, occupational safety and health work was maintained in May, with no serious work accidents occurring throughout the Group, contributing to ensuring safe and stable production.

With the decisive leadership of the TKV Trade Union, the close coordination of the professional departments, and the active participation of union members and workers, the 2026 Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health truly became a widespread political activity, creating a vibrant atmosphere of emulation in labor and production and achieving outstanding results; at the same time, through these activities, the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers was affirmed.
