Attending the ceremony were Mr. Thai Xuan Dung, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Mr. Nguyen Duy Nhien, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic, representatives of the Community Work Committee, leaders of the Phu Tho Association in the Czech Republic and community members living and working in the Czech Republic.
Mr. Dao Cong Hiep, Vice President of Phu Tho Association, read the ceremony to express the respect and gratitude of Vietnamese people to their ancestors, review the heroic history of fighting against foreign invaders, the tradition of mutual love of our nation and affirm to continue to contribute to building the country to develop more and more.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung emphasized that “drinking water - remembering its source” and pride in the “Lac - Hong bloodline” have become precious traditions of the Vietnamese people. That tradition has become a belief, a solid spiritual support, a source of solidarity, helping the Vietnamese people overcome countless difficulties and challenges, becoming an independent, unified nation, on the path of development with increasingly high potential, position and prestige. The Ambassador hopes that the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic will continue to preserve that fine cultural tradition, at the same time promote the spirit of great national solidarity, mutual assistance, building a united, strong, integrated and sustainably developed community in the host country and always looking towards the homeland.
