Provincial women's unions at all levels have promoted their role as accompaniers and supporters in accessing preferential capital from the Bank for Social Policies through savings and loan groups. The highlight is that the borrowing and lending process is always carried out transparently, publicly, to the right subjects, and according to the correct procedures. Members are guided in preparing loan applications, advised on how to use capital effectively, and committed to repaying debts on time.
Thanks to that support, many women in rural and mountainous areas have confidently started businesses, built economic models, and brought in stable income. The breeding cow model of Ms. Do Thi Loi (Cho village, Thong Nhat commune) is a typical example. From the initial 3 pairs of mother and baby cows, after 5 years, thanks to her perseverance in learning techniques and effectively using support capital, the family's herd of cows has grown to 50, generating an income of over 200 million VND/year. The family's life has gradually stabilized and become more comfortable, and the children have a full education.
Ms. Loi said: "I have borrowed policy capital for 5 years, in 2025 alone, I was able to borrow the most, 150 million VND. I have renovated the barn, bought more breeding cows... Since borrowing capital and boldly implementing the cow breeding model, my family's economy has improved a lot, earning hundreds of millions of VND each year.
Many members have shifted to a mixed garden economy. Ms. Tran Thi Van (Thong Nhat commune), with 3 hectares of hill garden land, has invested in growing red-fleshed dragon fruit, custard apple, lychee, guava, etc., earning an income of 150-200 million VND per year. Thanks to transparent access to preferential capital and technical guidance from the women's association, her model has not only been successful, but has also become a learning destination for many other women.
Ms. Tran Thi Be, Vice President of the Women's Union of Thong Nhat Commune, said: To facilitate members to borrow capital for business, the Union regularly disseminates lending policies, is open and transparent in selecting borrowers and closely monitors the activities of lending groups.
Transparency not only shows lending to the right people, for the right job, but also clearly applies technology in management and production, such as the Tan An egg farm model of Ms. Pham Thi Nguyet Dung (Quang Yen ward). Thanks to digitizing the process from breeding to selling, the farm supplies about 50,000 eggs to the market every day, with a revenue of 60 billion VND/year, creating jobs for dozens of workers.
The entire production process is transparent and easy to monitor thanks to the application of management software. This is a new direction for women-led economic models in Quang Ninh , showing quick adaptation to the digital transformation trend and improving financial and production management capacity.
The province currently has hundreds of savings and loan models managed by women. Thanks to their open, democratic and transparent operations, these models not only help members develop their economies, but also strengthen their trust in the Association. Women who were once hesitant to access finance have now become economic pillars, proactive in production, business and spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship to the community.
In the coming time, provincial women's unions at all levels will continue to promote their role as policy bridges, ensuring publicity and transparency in capital management, while encouraging models of women taking control of the economy and accessing technology, contributing to building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland.
