Samsung builds display line for foldable iPhone
According to ET News , Samsung Display is building a dedicated production line for foldable OLED panels at its A3 plant in Asan, South Chungcheog Province, South Korea.
Samsung is expected to be the exclusive display supplier for Apple's foldable iPhone. The "bitten apple" is said to be very impressed with Samsung's nearly crease-free display technology, which will be used on the 7.8-inch main screen of the iPhone Fold.

Samsung is reportedly able to produce up to 15 million OLED screens per year, ensuring supply for Apple products with expected sales of 6-8 million foldable iPhones.
The iPhone Fold is expected to feature a 5.5-inch outer display, an under-display camera, and a side-mounted Touch ID sensor. The device will be extremely thin, measuring just 9mm when folded, and will feature a teardrop metal hinge. Initial estimates put the launch price at around $2,100-$2,300, slightly higher than Samsung's newly launched Galaxy Z Fold7.
Samsung Display has been successful in supplying key displays whenever Apple pursues major technological innovations such as the switch from LCD to OLED.
