The opening night of DIFF 2026 will take place on the evening of May 30th with performances by the Da Nang team (Vietnam) and Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd (China), kicking off the most anticipated fireworks festival ever on the Han River.
Over the past few days, many workers have been working diligently to complete the installation of the sound and lighting systems, LED screens, and to finalize the stage and grandstand setups, in preparation for serving the audience.
According to reports, the main structure of the grandstand area, with a capacity of over 10,200 seats per night, has been largely completed.
For the final night alone, the stadium capacity will be increased to over 17,000 seats to accommodate locals and tourists.
Technical teams are urgently checking load capacity, reviewing safety, and making final adjustments before officially putting the facility into operation.
The organizers said that construction on this year's stage began in early April and is now in its final stages of completion, including technical adjustments, system testing, and operational acceptance.
The entire stage and seating area are basically complete.

DIFF 2026 is themed “Danang - United Horizons”. The stage is designed based on the idea of a “crossroads of unification”, inspired by the image of intersecting and connecting horizons, representing a Da Nang that is integrated and reaching international standards.
A highlight of this year's festival is the stage, which has a total width of 100 meters and has been expanded to accommodate the larger audience.
At the center of the stage is a massive lifting and lowering arch system, over 40 meters wide and more than 10 meters high, acting as the "backbone" connecting all the techniques, art, and message of the festival.
The main performance area covers approximately 1,800m², larger than previous DIFF seasons. Notably, the central lifting system has a frame area of up to 180m², a load capacity of over 10 tons, and integrates a complex hydraulic system operating directly on the Han River.
According to the organizing committee, the entire grandstand system was constructed to strict technical standards. All components underwent safety inspections before being put into operation. The sound and lighting systems were also arranged in a coordinated manner to ensure a complete viewing experience for the audience throughout the fireworks season.
In addition, the high-power laser system, 3D LED matrix, and modern Retro Amber lighting system are being meticulously calibrated by engineers. The organizers expect these performance technologies to create explosive "light horizons" on the DIFF 2026 stage.
Another unique aspect of this year's festival is that the entire technical equipment system, hydraulic system, and the team of engineers and workers are all Vietnamese, instead of using imported equipment as in many previous festivals.
Earlier, the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, personally inspected the preparations, reviewed the emergency exit arrangements, rescue plans, and incident response scenarios to ensure absolute safety for residents and tourists.
