According to the Hanoi Urban Environment Company, immediately after the training session ended on many central streets, this unit deployed plans to enhance sanitation throughout the area to contribute to ensuring a green, clean, beautiful, and civilized environment for the series of activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
The Hanoi Urban Environment Company has put into use 800 mobile trash bins along parade routes, parades, central areas, and event venues. The company has replaced all open garbage collection vehicles with closed-body trucks, and operated more than 30 two-wheeled electric trash collection vehicles. It has arranged and mobilized 1,012 toilets, of which the city installed and maintained 612, and the remaining 400 were mobilized from agencies, schools, hospitals, and private homes for free use.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy, a worker at the Hanoi Urban Environment Company, said that he and his colleagues cleaned the restrooms from 6am until the rehearsal ended. "We have 3-5 people at each location, trying our best to ensure that people can use clean restrooms, serving the people watching the parade and marching in the most comfortable way," Mr. Huy said.

At the same time, Hanoi Urban Environment Company coordinated with Hanoi Youth Union to mobilize more than 6,000 young volunteers with Urenco to pick up trash and propagate to people not to litter along the parade routes. In addition, the company's office block was also mobilized to participate in collecting trash during the ceremony.
Talking to us, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, working at the Industrial Waste Treatment Branch for Power Generation (under the Hanoi Environmental Sanitation Company) said that he was moved and proud to be present during these days, although the work was very hard, cleaning up trash, serving the environmental sanitation for the people to make the streets as clean as possible.
Mr. Hai also hopes that people participating in parades and marches will be conscious, not litter, and not leave "ugly" images on the streets.

Previously, in order to ensure urban aesthetics and best serve people during events celebrating the 80th National Day on September 2, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a document requesting to tighten environmental sanitation and improve the quality of community services in the A80 event areas.
The Hanoi People's Committee assessed that in recent times, some problems such as waste generated on roads and sidewalks, lack of public toilets, lack of free drinking water points, etc. have affected the experience of people and tourists when participating in crowded activities. Therefore, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of key wards such as Hoan Kiem, Cua Nam, Ba Dinh, Ngoc Ha, Giang Vo, Dong Da, O Cho Dua, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Hai Ba Trung and related departments and branches to urgently review the field, learn from experience and perfect the organization plan.

The arrangement of trash bins and the installation of public toilets in appropriate locations, ensuring that people can use them for free, are the contents that are particularly emphasized. In addition, localities need to proactively handle any issues that arise within their authority; at the same time, promptly report to the City People's Committee for direction on issues beyond their authority.
The leaders of the wards in the central area continue to be assigned by the city leaders to strengthen inspections and closely coordinate with functional forces to adjust and supplement service plans. Updating information on the ground needs to be done regularly to ensure timely and effective direction until the end of all events within the framework of A80.
Previously, launching the general environmental sanitation campaign in 126 communes and wards on August 2, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh called on all cadres, party members, and people of the capital to take concrete actions, from the smallest things such as throwing garbage at the right time and place; keeping living and working places clean, to actively participating in community activities, together turning environmental sanitation into a cultural feature, a daily habit...
