The Signing Ceremony was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, General Director of AMATA City Ha Long and Mr. Kamijo Hiroki, Deputy General Director of VPBank, under the witness of representatives of the leaders of both sides.
According to the agreement, the parties commit to sustainable and beneficial cooperation in many fields of operation, promoting cooperation in the fields of capital financing, payment services, cash flow management, international payment and trade finance, etc., aiming to develop Song Khoai Industrial Park (Amata City Ha Long) into one of the key industrial parks in the Northern region. At the same time, this cooperation creates the premise and favorable conditions for both parties to improve financial capacity, competitiveness and have more opportunities to access financial solutions to develop business activities.
Located in Quang Ninh province, Amata City Ha Long possesses many outstanding advantages such as tax incentives, convenient connection to highways and close to Hai Phong port and Cat Bi airport, helping to significantly improve the efficiency of logistics activities.
The project is expected to be a driving force for annual economic growth in Quang Ninh province and the Northern region, contributing to creating favorable conditions to attract more foreign direct investment (FDI), developing supporting industries, contributing thousands of billions of VND to the State budget each year, creating stable and long-term jobs for local workers. This cooperation agreement is expected to support Amata City Ha Long in completing infrastructure and improving operational efficiency, thereby attracting more and more high-quality FDI capital into Vietnam.
Over the years, VPBank has focused on financing sustainable industrial development, aiming at smart industrial parks, advanced digital infrastructure and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) initiatives. In 2024, total outstanding green credit at VPBank will reach VND21,943 billion, up 48.5% year-on-year, mainly driven by loans serving the low-carbon transport sector, green buildings, recycling/circular economy, sustainable agriculture and forestry and renewable energy. In 2025, VPBank is expected to also accelerate growth in this sector.
At the ceremony, Mr. Aukkares Choochouy, Member of the Board of Directors of Amata VN, thanked VPBANK for this support and cooperation. At the same time, he also emphasized AMATA's commitment to developing AMATA City Ha Long into one of the leading modern industrial parks and an ideal destination for international investors in Vietnam.
