Hong Ha Joint Stock Company: 20-year journey of construction and development

The first steps are full of challenges

Established on May 9, 2005, the initial starting point of Hong Ha Company Limited (the predecessor of Hong Ha Joint Stock Company) was only 18 officers and employees. Under the leadership of "captain" Le Thanh Hai, the enterprise entered the Bac Kan construction market with a capital of only 3.6 billion VND. In the early stages, Hong Ha Joint Stock Company mainly constructed small-scale projects. Revenue in 2005 reached only nearly 4 billion VND, reflecting a period of many difficulties and challenges.

Hong Ha Joint Stock Company is one of the enterprises participating in the construction of the Bac Kan city - Ba Be lake road connecting to Na Hang (Tuyen Quang).

However, with perseverance and strategic vision, the Board of Directors and employees of the company have continuously learned, accumulated experience, invested in machinery and equipment, and gradually affirmed their position in the market.

2009 marked the first milestone in Hong Ha's development journey. With the motto "People are the center", the company completed its organizational structure, recruited high-quality personnel, and invested heavily in modern construction equipment. As a result, revenue increased to 25.9 billion VND, equity increased to 16.8 billion VND, nearly 5 times higher than at the time of establishment.

From here, Hong Ha has transformed strongly. Large-scale projects with high technical requirements have begun to be assigned to the company. Hong Ha's name is associated with many key traffic infrastructure projects of the province such as: National Highway 3B; Provincial Road 258A; Cao Son - Vu Muon Road; Provincial Road 257; Bac Kan City - Ba Be Lake route connecting to Na Hang (Tuyen Quang); Cau River embankment; National Highway 279; overcoming the consequences of storms and floods on Road 258A... And recently, the Company has participated as a subcontractor in the construction of the Cho Moi - Bac Kan expressway, affirming the development of local enterprises.

Hong Ha Joint Stock Company always innovates technology to meet market demand for construction materials production. At the end of 2024, the Company invested in a modern sand crushing line.

Not stopping at the construction and installation sector, Hong Ha Joint Stock Company proactively expands the production of construction materials to increase initiative, reduce input costs and enhance competitiveness.

In December 2014, the company was licensed by the People's Committee of Bac Kan province to exploit and process limestone at Suoi Vien mine, a strategic step to start the mining sector. Immediately after that, Hong Ha continued to put into operation a cement-aggregate unburnt brick factory in Xuat Hoa commune, the first factory in this field in Bac Kan. The unburnt bricks from here not only meet technical standards but also lead the trend of sustainable development, highly appreciated by the market and local authorities.

Expand investment , diversify fields

Continuously innovating and pioneering, in 2021, the company invested in a commercial concrete station, installing a stone crushing and screening line with a capacity of 300 tons/hour. In 2022, it continued to invest in a hot asphalt concrete station with a capacity of 120 tons/hour, gradually forming a synchronous production, construction and supply ecosystem.

Not only stopping at traditional fields, Hong Ha also expanded into renewable energy. By 2025, the company had basically completed the procedures and constructed the Nam Cat 2 hydropower project with a capacity of 5MW, demonstrating its long-term vision and aspiration for multi-industry development.

Accompanying local development

During its 20-year journey, Hong Ha Joint Stock Company has always been closely associated with the development of Bac Kan. The company not only plays a key role in many key transportation and irrigation projects but also proactively undertakes the maintenance of National Highway 3B since 2014, contributing to ensuring safety and smooth traffic for the people.

Hong Ha Joint Stock Company has many activities contributing to social security work in the province.

Along with production activities, the company always pays attention to building corporate culture and taking care of workers' lives. The establishment of Party cells, grassroots trade unions, and youth unions has created a solid political and social foundation, helping the company to become increasingly united and strong.

The company is one of the enterprises actively contributing to social security work in the province, with activities such as: Participating in the Loving Leaves Program, sponsoring 05 students in difficult circumstances to strive to study. Contributing to the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Bac Kan province, supporting the Fund for the Poor launched by the province. During the Covid 19 outbreak, the company actively supported medical supplies to prevent the epidemic, and actively participated in flood and storm prevention, supporting people in natural disaster areas. With the above achievements, the company has received many certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Entering a new phase of development

Currently, Hong Ha Joint Stock Company has a team of nearly 120 employees, including 50 professional staff, 25 bridge and road engineers, and dozens of engineers in other fields. The average annual revenue is over 260 billion VND. In 2025, the revenue is expected to reach 300 billion VND.
