Regarding this content, Gia Lai Newspaper reporter had an interview with Mr. Thai Minh Chau, Director of Gia Lai Electricity Company, to clarify the initial results and upcoming directions.

* Sir, after the merger, what changes have there been in the organization and management methods of Gia Lai Electricity Company?
- The merger of power management units in Gia Lai is part of the roadmap to streamline the apparatus and improve operational efficiency according to the general policy of the industry. After the merger, we have restructured the organization to be more compact and flexible while still ensuring high operational efficiency. Power management teams under the new model have been deployed in all communes and wards in the province to meet the requirements of uninterrupted power supply and timely handling of incidents.

At the same time, operations are digitized, interconnected and centrally monitored, contributing to improving the capacity of governance and coordination of the grid system. This is an important foundation for the transformation from the traditional model to a more modern, flexible and intelligent power system.

*So how has customer service been improved, sir?
- Immediately after the merger, we clearly identified the need to improve customer service quality as a priority task. The customer care call center system, electronic information portal, customer care application via Zalo, mobile app... were synchronized, connecting operational data and services. From there, the time to receive and process requests for power supply, power outage reporting, bill payment... were all significantly shortened.
In addition, Gia Lai Electricity Company promotes the deployment of telemetry technology, electronic invoices, remote operation monitoring and automatic incident warning. These applications not only increase management efficiency but also make information transparent, helping customers easily monitor and interact with the electricity industry.
We also appreciate the positive feedback from the community. Many businesses appreciate that electricity procedures are now handled quickly, professionally, and are no longer as cumbersome as before.

*In the context of the province moving towards sustainable development and green economy , how do you evaluate the role of the electricity sector in ensuring stable and modern energy infrastructure?
- After the merger, Gia Lai province has a natural area of 21,576.5 km², ranking second in the country. With vast advantages and rich renewable energy potential such as hydropower, wind power, solar power, the province is aiming for green, sustainable growth, promoting industrialization and modernization.
The electricity sector, with its central role in ensuring energy infrastructure, has been investing heavily in all aspects. Up to now, in the province, the Central Power Corporation has invested in 1,177 km of 110 kV lines, 31 110 kV transformer stations with a total capacity of 1,176.8 kVA; 6,999 km of medium voltage lines, 10,162 km of low voltage lines and 6,500 distribution transformer stations with a total capacity of 1,457,288 kVA. Gia Lai Power Company alone is directly managing 31 110 kV transformer stations with a total capacity of 1,744 MVA; of which, the East Gia Lai region has 17 stations (1,030 MVA), the West Gia Lai region has 14 stations (714 MVA).
In particular, with the rate of households using electricity reaching 99.98% in 135/135 communes and wards, we are confident that electricity has made an important contribution to production development, improving the quality of life and promoting cultural and social development in remote areas and ethnic minority areas.
In the coming time, we hope to continue to receive close coordination from departments, branches and authorities at all levels in clearing land and completing legal procedures so that new power projects can be implemented on schedule, serving the increasing development needs of the province.
* Thank you!
