Accordingly, the form of investment is that EDPR will invest in solar power systems on the roofs of industrial parks, factories, and administrative units, and at the same time pay for the costs of operating, repairing, and maintaining the solar power system throughout the project's life cycle.

The benefits of investment projects will promote the energy transition process in Vietnam in general and Quang Tri in particular, contributing to making Quang Tri a "Clean Energy Center" of the Central region.

At the same time, increase FDI capital in the locality, increase budget revenue, create jobs for local workers, ensure additional electricity supply for industrial parks, factories, and administrative units at competitive prices.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam said that Quang Tri has great potential for green energy development and has developed a strategy to turn the locality into a clean energy center of the Central region.

In recent years, this field has been focused on development. Currently, Quang Tri has 19 wind power projects in commercial operation, with a capacity of 713.4 MW; 12 projects have been approved for investment and are being implemented, with a capacity of 500 MW.

In addition, some investors are studying offshore wind power investment, with 3 projects, capacity of 2,600 MW. For solar power, there are 3 factories, with capacity of 119 MW and rooftop solar power of 90 MW, which are already in commercial operation, and at the same time planning 22 solar power projects with capacity of 1,600 MW. Therefore, Quang Tri welcomes and welcomes capable investors to survey, research and seek investment opportunities.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam highly appreciated EDPR's capacity, acknowledged the proposals of the enterprise and assigned relevant departments and branches to study and advise the Provincial People's Committee.
