On the evening of September 3, Mr. Le Vinh Phu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Gio Linh Commune ( Quang Tri ) said that a tragic drowning incident had just occurred in the area.
At around 4:00 p.m. the same day, DTTL (born in 2015, residing in Gio Linh commune) and PTBH (born in 2018, residing in Nam Dong Ha ward, Quang Tri province) went to the ecological lake area in Gio Linh commune to play. While playing, the two children unfortunately slipped and fell into the lake.
Authorities searched and brought the victims to shore but both did not survive.
