Samsung E&A Co., Ltd. explores investment opportunities in Vinh Phuc

On the morning of September 18, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, worked with Samsung E&A Vietnam Co., Ltd. to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in projects in the field of clean water supply and wastewater treatment in the province. Samsung E&A Co., Ltd. (Korea) was established in 1970, operating in the fields of environment, bio-industry and oil and gas infrastructure, belonging to Samsung Group.

In 2022, Samsung E&A Vietnam Co., Ltd. established a strategic cooperation relationship with DNP Water Investment Joint Stock Company (DNP Water) to expand investment activities in the fields of clean water, wastewater and waste treatment in Vietnam.

DNP Water is a leading private company in the field of clean water supply. The clean water infrastructure system invested by DNP Water has a total designed capacity of 1 million m3/day, currently serving people in 41 provinces and cities and aiming to reach a designed capacity of 15 million m3/day in the next development phase.

With the desire to provide comprehensive solutions in water resources management and environmental sanitation, contributing to the socio-economic development of Vinh Phuc , Samsung E&A Vietnam Co., Ltd. and DNP Water wish to explore opportunities for cooperation in investment projects in the field of clean water supply and wastewater treatment in the province.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong affirmed that the environment is the province's top concern for sustainable development. The province gives special priority to projects on centralized clean water supply and wastewater and waste treatment.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Samsung E&A Vietnam Co., Ltd. to coordinate with DNP Water to research and propose optimal technological solutions at competitive prices to implement environmental projects in Vinh Phuc; coordinate with investors in infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters to build wastewater treatment plants according to regulations; and at the same time, research and build waste treatment plants based on the approved planning of the province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong assigned the Center for Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to provide information on planning, clean water projects, and waste treatment in the province, creating favorable conditions for investors to implement projects in the coming time.
