Mr. Maarten Siebe van Wijk, Chairman and General Director, informed: The company has contracted to produce and purchase seedless lemons in Tra Vinh (through Thanh Chi Agricultural Cooperative, Huyen Hoi Commune, Cang Long District). The company specializes in growing, supplying and exporting citrus products. In addition to purchasing products (mainly seedless lemons, green-skinned grapefruits, and oranges); the company will demonstrate production point and nursery models.
Mr. Maarten Siebe van Wijk informed about the unit's cooperation and production activities with farmers in building export raw material areas.
Regarding the Company's citrus growing process, Mr. Maarten Siebe van Wijk said: these are fruit farms that are grown in a direction of strict control of compliance with production standards (GlobalGap, processing standards (BRC) and social standards (GRASP, RTI-SEMETA).
In the coming time, the Company will import some high-quality seedlings and transfer care and production techniques to cooperatives and farmers when participating in the chain linked with the Company and complying with environmental protection. Comrade Huynh Van Nghi, Vice Chairman of Tra Cu District People's Committee reported on the model of linked production of seedless lemon growing by farmers.
Currently, the company has linked seedless lemon growers with 98 households/100ha of Huyen Hoi commune, Cang Long district. The company hopes to expand the linkage to about 500 farmers who have signed contracts with the project in the coming time. From 2022 - 2023, the province has expanded the seedless lemon growing area by 120ha, farmers have invested more than 3 billion VND in production; in 2025, strive to expand by 300ha.
The Fruit Republic Company Limited builds production areas in a concentrated, easy-to-manage and far-from-saltwater direction; such as the production areas of Huyen Hoi, An Truong, Tan An, Tan Binh communes (Cang Long district); Phuoc Hung (Tra Cu district); Hieu Trung, Hieu Tu, Tap Ngai (Tieu Can district); Song Loc (Chau Thanh district).
