Grona Lund Park in Stockholm has been forced to close until further notice after part of the park's Jetline roller coaster derailed, sending passengers plunging to the ground.

On June 25, Grona Lund Park in Stockholm (Sweden) announced that this 140-year-old amusement park was forced to close until further notice, after a roller coaster accident that occurred earlier that day left one person dead.
Witnesses said the park's Jetline roller coaster partially derailed while in motion, sending riders plunging to the ground.
The incident also left nine people injured, three of them seriously. Among the victims were several children.
Annika Troselius, a spokeswoman for Grond Lund Park, said it was "a tragedy" and regretted the loss of life.
Swedish Culture Minister Parisa Liljestrand also sent her condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery. An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.
According to information on the park's website, the Jetline roller coaster is 30m high, has a steel track and reaches speeds of up to 90 km/h (56 mph). The Jetline serves more than 1 million visitors each year./.
