Hoi An Park, which is over 22 hectares wide, will be invested with over 176 billion VND to be renovated into an open park, serving community activities for Thanh Hoa City residents.
On November 4, Mr. Le Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Thanh Hoa City Construction Investment Project Management Board, said that the unit is completing procedures to prepare for the implementation of the project to upgrade and renovate Hoi An Park. According to the plan, the city will implement the project in the 2023-2026 period, but will strive to complete it in 2024.

According to the resolution approved by the Thanh Hoa City People's Council, the budget will be invested in the project to upgrade the gate system, fences, internal roads, lighting, toilets, water filters, security cameras, sports equipment...
The project's goal is to maximize the cultural value of the largest central park in Thanh Hoa City, creating a highlight in landscape space, harmoniously connecting with the overall urban architecture, contributing to socio-economic development...
After renovation, this park will create themed landscape areas, green tree systems, entertainment areas, and sports areas to serve the people.

According to Mr. Le Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Thanh Hoa City Construction Investment Project Management Board, there are three projects currently located within the park grounds, namely the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Sports Gymnasium and the fitness and aesthetic center, which are not included in the renovation plan this time.
In addition, the area near the west gate of the park (along Le Hoan Street) is planned by the city to build an underground parking lot, but this project has not been implemented at this time.

Hoi An Park, formerly known as Thanh Hoa Park, was built in 2003 with an area of 24 hectares, located in Lam Son and Truong Thi wards. The project has four facades and is located on two of the busiest streets in Thanh Hoa City, Le Hoan and the extended Le Loi Avenue.
In 2009, this park was renamed to commemorate the twinning event between Hoi An town and Thanh Hoa town (now Hoi An city and Thanh Hoa city). Hoi An Park currently has many unique architectural works symbolizing Hoi An city such as the model of the Japanese Covered Bridge, Hoi An ancient town, ceramic sculpture gate pillars...
Although it is a public service project, for a long time Thanh Hoa City has leased the premises to many businesses and individuals to operate restaurants, cafes, tennis courts, soccer fields... so the area has been narrowed, making people angry.
