The traffic police officer was then assisted by people and colleagues to be taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to Thanh Nien 's verification, the victim in the incident was Mr. PTTh, 32 years old, an officer of the Cat Lai Traffic Police Team, under the Traffic Police Department (PC08) of Ho Chi Minh City Police. Officer Th. was injured in the head, bleeding profusely and was treated at Le Van Thinh Hospital (Thu Duc City).
According to a source, the incident occurred at around 8:00 p.m. on October 23. At that time, officer Th. was on duty checking alcohol levels at the My Thuy roundabout when he was suddenly attacked by a man who threw a rock at his head, causing injury.
It is known that before that, officer Th. had made a record and temporarily detained a motorbike with a HCMC license plate driven by Mr. VTN (39 years old, residing in Long An). After that, the violator showed signs of resisting the officer on duty.
Upon receiving the report, Thanh My Loi Ward Police coordinated with Thu Duc City Police and Ho Chi Minh City Police to extract security cameras, investigate related people, and clarify the case of a traffic police officer being attacked and injured.
