Voters request Kon Tum province to inspect land use in Sao Mai Industrial Park

Voters Dang Van Nho and Le Thi Nam, village 4, Hoa Binh commune, Kon Tum city, petitioned the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee to inspect land use in Sao Mai Industrial Park (IP).

According to the feedback of these two voters, currently, Sao Mai Industrial Park has only 2 units investing in the construction and business of rooftop solar power (using less than 20 local workers), the rest of the people are still taking advantage of growing cassava on a fairly large area.

“People hope that the province will have a policy to call for and attract investment in Sao Mai Industrial Park and choose suitable industries to create jobs for people and stabilize their lives after their land is recovered,” voters Dang Van Nho and Le Thi Nam, village 4, Hoa Binh commune, Kon Tum city expressed their wishes.

Regarding the above proposal, Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee said that for the industrial land fund in Sao Mai Industrial Park, which has been compensated and cleared, the locality has leased it to enterprises to carry out 3 investment projects with a total area of 40.21 hectares. Currently, there are 1.09 hectares of land that have been compensated and cleared but have not ensured the entire land plot according to the detailed planning, so they are not qualified to introduce to investors.

For the land area that has not been cleared (74.6/150ha), currently, the Kon Tum Provincial Economic Zone Management Board is actively coordinating with the Kon Tum City People's Committee and the Kon Tum City Land Fund Development Center to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles, speeding up the progress of compensation and site clearance.

On that basis, the Kon Tum Provincial Economic Zone Management Board will widely inform, publicize the land fund and organize to call for, receive and resolve procedures to attract investment in Sao Mai Industrial Park according to the progress of site clearance compensation according to the motto of attracting investment to where compensation is paid (currently organizing to review the compensation volume that has been counted before).

Regarding the projects being invested in Sao Mai Industrial Park, Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee said that the Kon Tum Provincial Economic Zone Management Board has inspected and evaluated the implementation status of the projects, thereby taking measures to require investors to speed up the project implementation progress, and soon put the project into operation according to the investment registration target and schedule.
