Người Đưa TinNgười Đưa Tin04/02/2024

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just sent a document to relevant units regarding coordination in aviation operations in foggy and low-cloud weather conditions at airports in the Northern region.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, over the past two days, at airports in the northern region, there has been fog, low clouds, and visibility below operating standards, negatively affecting flight operations. Many flights have had to divert or be delayed.

According to information from the meteorological forecasting agency, this weather pattern may continue until February 8 (December 29, Quy Mao year) from night to early morning.

To proactively prevent, limit and minimize negative impacts caused by weather developments, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires airlines to proactively monitor weather developments, closely coordinate with airports, Air Traffic Management Centers, regional air traffic management companies and aviation service providers at the ports to have appropriate operational plans and solutions; promptly notify and have plans to serve passengers in case of changes in transportation plans.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also requested the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and airports affected by the weather to increase the deployment of service and operation forces at the ports; promptly release aircraft, and coordinate with airlines to deploy handling plans in case operations are affected by the impacts of the weather.

Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation directed the Northern Regional Airport Meteorological Center, the Air Traffic Flow Management Center and air traffic units to closely coordinate with relevant meteorological units to promptly deploy CDM (collaborative decision-making model), monitor and operate flight operations in accordance with weather developments...

In addition, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation coordinates and supports airlines and airports in operations, ensuring safety and minimizing negative impacts caused by weather.

For airport authorities, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires monitoring, supervising, and managing the operations of airlines, units, and organizations providing services at airports to ensure security and safety; and handling in accordance with regulations and authority any issues arising in aviation operations at the port.
