Que Phuoc commune was established by merging three communes: Que Lam, Ninh Phuoc, and Phuoc Ninh. Given its vast mountainous terrain and numerous challenges, the local authorities have identified the key task as stabilizing the administrative apparatus, maintaining unity, and strengthening public trust through the exemplary role of grassroots officials and Party members.
Mr. Bui Thanh Long, Head of the Farmers' Association in Binh Yen village, actively participates in social movements and contributes many practical initiatives. "I believe that no matter your age or field of work, you must have dedication and responsibility. Whatever benefits the people and the locality, we should all work together and encourage the villagers to participate," Mr. Long shared.
In Phuoc Hoi village, Mr. Luu Hong Thanh, retired after many years of service at the commune and district levels, still actively participates in social activities as the Chairman of the Commune's Education Promotion Association. According to Mr. Thanh, to create consensus among the people, officials must first truly match words with actions. Issues directly affecting people's lives need to be addressed promptly and fairly. Propaganda work is only truly effective when leaders are deeply involved in practical matters, prioritize the common good, and maintain close ties with the grassroots.
Many elderly and respected party members in Que Phuoc still actively participate in mediating conflicts, campaigning for land donations to open roads, maintaining security and order, and building a cultural life in residential areas.
Besides upholding the role of the older generation, Que Phuoc is gradually innovating its propaganda work to suit the digital information environment, with youth union members playing a leading role.
According to Nguyen Dinh An, Secretary of the Que Phuoc Commune Youth Union, in recent years, the commune's Youth Union has intensified its propaganda efforts through fanpages, community Zalo groups, short videos , and visual images to convey the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws in a concise and accessible way for young people. The Youth Union regularly disseminates inspiring stories, examples of good deeds, volunteer activities, rural development, and environmental protection.
"Currently, the youth union is implementing many models such as: 'One good news story every day,' 'One beautiful story every week.' Through social media, union members and young people are also proactively sharing positive content," An added.
The commune also effectively utilizes digital platforms such as fanpages and community Zalo groups to bring official information closer to the people, updating them on the socio -economic situation, activities of facilities, successful models, and effective practices.
According to Mr. Le Thanh Luan, Head of the Party Building Committee of Que Phuoc commune, in the context of rapidly spreading information on the internet, the work of grasping and guiding public opinion must be done early and from afar. "When false rumors or conflicting information appear, cadres and Party members must proactively verify and explain immediately at the grassroots level, preventing malicious individuals from exploiting and inciting division within the national unity," Mr. Luan said.
In mountainous areas like Que Phuoc, the close involvement of officials at the grassroots level and their timely resolution of emerging issues have fostered strong consensus, leading to the timely implementation of many policies. The commune Party Committee has focused on leading and directing efforts to improve discipline, responsibility, work style, and conduct among officials and civil servants; strengthening grassroots engagement, staying close to the people, listening to and promptly addressing legitimate requests from residents right from the village and residential area levels.
According to Mr. Bui Xuan Trung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Que Phuoc commune, the team of officials, Party members, and influential people in the locality are a force that understands the area, is trusted by the people, and plays an important role in building consensus.
“We continue to leverage the combined strength of the entire political system, focusing on the role of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations to foster national unity. At the same time, we are concentrating on mobilizing resources for synchronized investment in transportation infrastructure, irrigation, and rural clean water; and supporting people in developing production models suitable to the characteristics of mountainous areas,” Mr. Trung shared.
