Joining the people of the highlands in harvesting the "golden season"

Demonstrating a spirit of initiative and volunteerism for the community, on the morning of June 3rd, the Long He Commune Police in Son La province organized an activity to assist people in harvesting the winter-spring rice crop in Na Hem village.

In early June, the terraced rice fields in Na Hem village were ablaze with golden ripe rice, ready for harvest. However, due to a shortage of labor, many households were struggling to harvest their crops in a timely manner to ensure high yields. Recognizing this situation, the Long He Commune Police mobilized youth union members to assist the villagers in harvesting their rice.

During this activity, the youth union members of the commune's police force directly assisted a family in Na Hem village in harvesting approximately 2,000 square meters of rice. Under the early summer sun, the officers and the villagers worked diligently to harvest, transport, and gather the rice, helping the family speed up the harvest and alleviate labor shortages during the season.

Mr. Lo Van Tham, a resident of Na Hem village, Son La province, emotionally shared: “ My family is very grateful to the commune police officers for taking the time to help with the rice harvest. Thanks to their support, the work was completed much faster, helping my family reduce the hardship during the harvest season .”

Lieutenant Colonel Vi A Cua, Head of the Long He Commune Police Station, Son La Province, stated: “ Supporting people in harvesting their crops is one of the practical activities aimed at strengthening public relations work and building a close relationship between the police force and the people. This contributes to spreading the image of police officers who are close to the people, respect the people, and serve the people; and at the same time, helps people in mountainous areas develop their economy and stabilize their lives .”

Police officers from Long Hẹ commune are assisting local residents with the harvest.

This activity not only contributes to helping people harvest rice in a timely manner, ensuring crop yields, but also demonstrates the sense of responsibility and sharing of the Long He Commune Police towards the community. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the solidarity between the police and the people, reinforce the people's trust in the local police force, and contribute to building a solid people's security posture right from the local level.
