The second national art photography contest “Fatherland on the Shore” was organized by the Central Propaganda Department in coordination with the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
The Organizing Committee accepts entries until September 30, 2023. Authors submit photos directly to the website: http://www.anhnghethuatbiendaoquehuong2023.com .
The works participating in the Contest show the main contents: Potential, beauty of Vietnam's seas and islands; love for the homeland, the country, the attachment of generations of Vietnamese people to the seas and islands of the Fatherland; the enthusiastic atmosphere, determination in labor, production and combat activities of cadres, soldiers and people in the sea and island areas; sense of responsibility and spirit of readiness to fight to preserve and protect the sacred sovereignty of the seas and islands of the Fatherland; achievements in socio-economic development of the homeland's seas and islands in the process of innovation and international integration; international cooperation activities on the sea, promoting joint efforts to ensure security, peace and stability for the seas in the face of traditional and non-traditional security challenges at sea....
Works participating in the Competition and Exhibition are single photos or photo series, color photos or black and white photos. Each author can submit a maximum of 10 works. The works must be created using realism methods, collages are not accepted. Priority is given to works created from January 1, 2022 to present.

The contest is open to professional and amateur photographers; Vietnamese citizens living, working and studying in and outside the country; and foreigners living, working, studying and working in Vietnam.
The contest aims to continue to propagate and affirm the correct policies and guidelines of the Party and State; raise public awareness of the position and role of the sea and islands in the cause of national construction and protection; foster and enhance patriotism, national pride, and awareness of protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity of the entire Party, people and army.
Through the Contest, we aim to encourage people of all walks of life, especially artists - those who love photography to create many new works, valuable in content and art, serving the propaganda work of seas and islands and improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.
