Vietnam STEM, AI, and Robotics National Championship 2024

The 2024 National STEM, AI, and Robotics Championship (VSAR 2024) has officially launched, creating a top-tier creative playground for students who love technology.

On the afternoon of November 14th , in Hanoi , Tien Phong Newspaper held a press conference to announce the 2024 National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship (Vietnam STEM AI Robotics - VSAR). This event, aimed at high school students, focuses on the theme "Green Agriculture - Sustainable Development." It is also one of the activities in response to the National STEM Day.

Here, the organizers arranged for a series of robots to dance energetically to the song "Proud of Vietnam," surprising and exciting the entire audience.

In this competition, participating teams not only compete for titles but also have the opportunity to be selected to participate in international competitions in STEM, AI, and Robotics, contributing to raising the profile of Vietnamese students on the global map of science and technology education .

The competition comprises five main tournaments , each with a unique theme revolving around practical, relevant fields such as green agriculture - sustainable development , smart transportation, and future innovation. These tournaments are designed to challenge students' knowledge and skills, from programming and controlling real-world robots to developing innovative software applications.

Journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, shared: "The competition, with the theme 'Green Agriculture - Sustainable Development,' features technological solutions, artificial intelligence, and automation to address challenges in agricultural production. This is a theme with profound social significance, aiming for sustainable development and achieving the dual goal of both improving production efficiency and protecting the environment through the application of science and technology." - The V National STEM, AI, and Robotics Championship (VSAR): The theme "Green Agriculture - Sustainable Development" will be a platform for teams to showcase their robot design and programming skills through the Seed Sowing Challenge. Teams will have to build a robot capable of picking seeds, moving, and sowing them into designated plots. This is a practical challenge that helps students understand the application of robots in improving agricultural production processes and developing environmentally friendly agricultural models.

- IYRC Vietnam 2024: With the theme "Green Energy," the tournament will include various competitions such as robot soccer, robots operating on renewable energy, and robot model creation. Through this tournament, students will have access to and apply advanced technologies, while raising awareness about environmental protection and the use of clean energy.

- MakeX Championship: The theme "Smart Delivery Robots" challenged competing teams to program and control robots to perform transportation and delivery tasks within a supply chain model. Conquering this challenge helped students better understand the role of robots in transportation and logistics, and find solutions to improve economic efficiency and protect the environment.

- Tekmonk Coding Olympiad Championship : This is a creative programming competition for students from grades 3 to 12 with the theme "The School of the Future" . Competing teams will apply their programming skills to develop innovative software applications for learning and life. With these challenges, students can freely create, design, and refine their own products.

- Virtual Robot Championship - ViRC: The theme "Rapid Relay" challenged virtual robot programming skills with the task of shooting balls at targets on a board. This tournament used a virtual robot platform, allowing students without real-world equipment to participate, develop their programming skills, and become familiar with virtual simulation technology.

The Organizing Committee of the 2024 National STEM, AI, and Robotics Championship is accepting applications from now until December 10th. The final round of the competition will take place on December 21st at the Quan Ngua Sports Palace, Hanoi.

With the goal of encouraging students' creativity and learning spirit, the Organizing Committee has built a rich prize system for outstanding teams in each tournament. The total value of cash and in-kind prizes exceeds 400 million VND, along with over 600 million VND in scholarships from academies and technology companies.
