Provincial road 823D connecting Ho Chi Minh City will be technically opened to traffic at the end of this year.

On September 13, the Long An Department of Transport announced that the provincial road 823D project connecting Long An - Ho Chi Minh City, by the joint venture of Hai Duong Embankment Construction and Rural Development Joint Stock Company - Hoan Hao Company Limited - Trung Thanh Investment and Construction Company Limited, is constructing three packages.

Currently, contractors have built nearly 14km of roadbed sand, more than 12km of red gravel, and about 10km of crushed stone.

Provincial road project 823D has paved more than 2.5km of asphalt concrete.

Along with that, contractors also took advantage of the good sunny weather to pave over 2.5km of asphalt concrete, with a value of over 471 billion VND, reaching about 50% of the plan.

To speed up the progress, the Department of Transport is continuously working with contractors. Currently, the project has mobilized about 60 vehicles, equipment and nearly 100 technical staff and workers to construct 8 teams.

The entire route is expected to be technically opened to traffic by the end of December 2024, and all items will be completed to be put into use by June 2025.

According to Mr. Dang Hoang Tuan, Director of Long An Department of Transport, when completed, provincial road 823D will connect Ho Chi Minh road, national highway N2 at Hau Nghia town intersection, Ho Chi Minh City beltway 3... The route will also contribute to reducing traffic congestion pressure during holidays and Tet on provincial roads 824, 825, 830...

Provincial Road 823D Project (new Northwest axis connecting Long An - Ho Chi Minh City) with a length of 14.2km, starting point in Duc Hoa district, Long An and Ho Chi Minh City, ending point at Hau Nghia roundabout intersection, Duc Hoa district. According to the standards of secondary urban main streets, the design speed is 80km/h, the road surface is 25m wide, 6 lanes.

The project is invested by Long An Department of Transport with a total cost of over 1,105 billion VND, the central budget supports 1,000 billion VND, the remaining is from the provincial budget and other mobilized capital.
