Construction on upgrading National Highway 24B will begin at the end of May 2026.

On the morning of May 12th, Mr. Nguyen Phi Phuong, Deputy Director of the Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation Works, informed that the upgrading and renovation project of National Highway 24B, đoạn Km23 - Km29, will commence at the end of May.

Construction on upgrading National Highway 24B will begin at the end of May 2026.

To date, the Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation Works, the project's investor, has signed contracts with the construction contractor and supervision consultant, and has organized the handover of the site markers and boundary stakes to the relevant units. Construction will be ready by the end of May.

The project to upgrade and renovate National Highway 24B, section Km23 - Km29, has a length of 6.75km. The total investment is nearly 680 billion VND. Of this, 276 billion VND is for compensation, support, and resettlement, and 317 billion VND is for construction costs. The project is scheduled for completion in 2027. It is a Class II road transport project with 4 lanes. The project aims to improve operational capacity, meet transportation needs, connect regions, minimize traffic accidents, promote socio- economic development, and ensure national security and defense. It also aims to gradually complete the transportation network development plan and the overall socio-economic development plan of Quang Ngai province.
