Former futsal player Dang Thien passed away on the field, at the age of 25.

On the evening of June 3, Tran Dang Thien, 25 years old, suddenly passed away while playing amateur football in Ho Chi Minh City, shocking his teammates.

The news of former futsal player Tran Dang Thien's passing has shocked many of his acquaintances, futsal players, and friends. Dang Thien passed away unexpectedly during a match last night.

During the match, Dang Thien suddenly collapsed and lay motionless. Despite the support of his teammates and then emergency medical staff, the former futsal player did not survive the critical condition.

Tran Dang Thien was born in 2000 and was coached by coach Pham Minh Giang. Dang Thien used to play for Tan Hiep Hung futsal club. At the end of 2023, Thien switched to coaching.

He was also a member of the Vietnamese Student futsal team that won a silver medal at the 2020 Southeast Asian Student Games while studying at the University of Physical Education and Sports.

Phu Duc Tri football team paid tribute to Dang Thien: "A devoted young coach of Phu Duc Tri passed away, leaving all his students, brothers and teammates in shock and sorrow. Like a bird leaving the forest. How could a green leaf leave the branch so quickly? The age of 25 ended in sorrow."

Tran Dang Thien's coffin was placed at An Binh Funeral Home (District 5, Ho Chi Minh City), then cremated at Da Phuoc Cemetery, Binh Chanh District.
