Accordingly, it is expected that ship CSB 6001/Command of Coast Guard Region 2 will enter Phu Quy Island to hand over the 5 workers above to continue performing the task. The Provincial Border Guard Command has directed the Phu Quy Border Guard Station to prepare to receive the 5 crew members above, support and encourage the families in distress. At the same time, it is requested that the Command of Naval Region 4 direct ship KN 463 to travel from Truong Sa to Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa to participate in search and rescue, and continue the journey according to the unit's plan.
As previously reported, at 4:00 p.m. on June 9, fishing boat BTh 98539 Ts was on its way from Truong Sa Island back to Phu Quy Island when it encountered strong winds and large waves, causing the fishing boat to break water in the sea area, 74 nautical miles southeast of Phu Quy Island. The pumping system on the boat was not working and the fishing boat was at risk of sinking, forcing the captain to request emergency assistance. Fishing boat BTh 98539 Ts has a capacity of 400 CV, fishing, including crew members (previous information was 4 crew members), the captain is Mr. Nguyen Tam (1982, Long Hai village, Long Hai commune, Phu Quy).
