To celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, the tourist city of Ha Long is organizing 23 activities and events to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere, attracting tourists and locals alike. Highlights of the events planned for the September 2nd holiday include the "Crossing the Waves of Ha Long - 2024" sailing, paragliding, and jet ski festival and the "Heritage City - Colors of Ha Long" hot air balloon festival. The "Crossing the Waves of Ha Long - 2024" festival will be held on August 24th at Tuan Chau Beach, featuring various modes of transportation: sailboats, jet skis, jet boards, paragliders, etc.

The "Crossing the Waves of Ha Long - 2024" sailing, paragliding, and jet skiing festival is being organized for the first time by Ha Long City.

According to the program, from 2 PM to 5 PM on August 24th, the sailing team will depart from Tuan Chau Beach, then move to Ocean Park Beach; continuing the parade to the coastal area opposite Ha Long Flower Park. After the parade, the sailing team will gather in formation to create a highlight for the paragliding, jet skiing, and water motorbike demonstrations.

From 5 PM to 8 PM on the same day, the jet ski team will perform in formation, parading with the national flag and accompanied by flares, starting from Hon Gai Passenger Port and running along the coastline to the area opposite Ha Long Flower Park. The jet ski team will perform around the coastal area opposite Ha Long Flower Park. At the same time, the paragliding team will depart from 30/10 Square and approach the coastal performance area opposite Ha Long Flower Park.

The Hot Air Balloon Festival, taking place on September 1st and 2nd, will feature various activities including: hot air balloon rides; hot air balloon tours; a hot air balloon lantern festival; and hot air balloon decorations on the ground. Specifically, the festival will officially open at 7:00 AM on September 1st in Ha Long City; hot air balloon rides will be held from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 4:30 PM onwards each day. Ha Long City will issue free tickets (or passes) for the rides to control the number of visitors. The event will take place at 30/10 Square and Ocean Park Beach. For tours inside the hot air balloons, these will take place at 30/10 Square from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM and from 3:30 PM onwards each day. The city will also issue free tickets (or passes) to control the number of visitors. The hot air balloon lantern festival will be held from 7:30 PM on September 2nd at 30/10 Square. This is the first time Ha Long City has organized the Sailing, Paragliding, Jet Skiing, and Hot Air Balloon Festivals. These special events aim to concretize the "Ha Long - City of Festivals" project, and to provide tourists and locals with impressive, exciting, and unforgettable experiences as they admire the beautiful and majestic scenery of the city on the shores of the Ha Long heritage site from above.
