On the evening of October 2, a flight of China Southern Airlines (CZ) departing from Shenzhen (China) carrying more than 170 passengers landed at Terminal T2, Da Nang International Airport.
Da Nang City held a welcoming ceremony with the participation of leaders of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs... As soon as they got off the plane, passengers were welcomed with special traditional art performances and received souvenirs.
The official opening of the Shenzhen - Da Nang route opens up many opportunities to attract tourists and promote trade, while becoming a bridge to bring tourists from China to the Central provinces and vice versa.
This is also the driving force for Da Nang to strengthen connectivity and restore international flights from China.
According to plan, the airline will operate 6 round-trip flights from Shenzhen to Da Nang in October and continue to expand in the next phase.

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, Mr. Ho The Anh, General Director of Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) said that after 5 years and 8 months, China Southern Airlines reconnected to the city.
“We hope these flights will not only carry tourists but also bring experts and investors to learn and cooperate in Da Nang, creating more opportunities in tourism, trade and investment,” he said.
Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang, emphasized that China is a key international market of Da Nang. For many years, China has ranked second in the number of visitors to the city.
Connecting flights with Shenzhen is of great significance, contributing to strengthening connectivity, promoting tourism recovery and growth.
