Preparing resettlement areas for high-speed railway

In Dien Ban Bac ward, the People's Committee of Da Nang City has just started construction of a resettlement area to serve the North-South high-speed railway project. According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy, Director of the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works in Da Nang, this is an important project, not only directly serving the site clearance for the high-speed railway project, but also contributing to improving the lives of people in the project area.

The North-South high-speed railway line passing through Da Nang is 116 km long and is expected to affect more than 2,100 households. To solve the resettlement problem, Da Nang plans to build 35 resettlement areas with a total area of 211 hectares, creating more than 3,300 resettlement plots. The total cost for this work is estimated at more than VND3,600 billion.

Mr. Phan Thai Binh , Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, emphasized that the North-South High-Speed Railway Project, when completed, will connect regions, improve transport capacity and promote socio-economic development. Mr. Binh requested relevant units to coordinate closely to ensure quality, safety and construction progress; at the same time, he hoped that people in the project area would continue to agree so that the project could be completed soon.

Efforts to invest in highway construction

After nearly 2 years of implementation efforts, the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway Construction Project through Da Nang, with a total capital of 2,113 billion VND, has been basically completed and opened to technical traffic.

Mr. Le Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board (investor) said that the project has basically completed 11.5 km of the main highway; two service roads on both sides of the highway are also being implemented to be completed in 2025.

According to Mr. Binh, this result was achieved thanks to the drastic and effective participation of the Party Committee and authorities at all levels of Da Nang, along with the tireless efforts and overcoming of difficulties in the spirit of solidarity, unanimity and high determination of the participating entities, construction contractors, design consultants, supervision consultants, etc.

Mr. Le Quang Nam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, shared that the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway is of great significance to the transport infrastructure, socio-economic development of Da Nang, the Central region and the whole country. According to Mr. Nam, site clearance is the key step, with more than 60.7 hectares of land, nearly 2,000 records, and the relocation of 3,275 graves.

“Up to now, the entire main route and service road have been 100% completed, thanks to the consensus and great support of the people,” Mr. Nam shared and affirmed that Da Nang will continue to closely coordinate with the investor and related units to ensure the progress, quality, safety and efficiency of the Project, bringing practical benefits to the people and the country.

Recently, the People's Committee of Da Nang City approved the Interchange Project of National Highway 14B with Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway, with a total investment of more than 537.5 billion VND. The project implementation period is from 2025 to 2028, deployed in Ba Na commune.

With this project, Da Nang will invest in the construction and completion of a grade-separated interchange based on the principle of making the most of the invested and constructed section of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway Project.

In particular, Da Nang will build a bridge on National Highway 14B over the expressway, the first section of the bridge will be invested in accordance with the scale of National Highway 14B under construction; take advantage of and expand the existing bridge of the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway at Km78+144.31; expand the Hoa Lien - Quang Ngai radial branch within the intersection to ensure connection of indirect left turns, synchronous with the scale of the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway under construction; take advantage of the invested part of the 4 direct right turns and continue to invest in completion according to the approved scale; build 4 indirect left turns; build 4 collector roads to serve people's lives...

The Project's objective is to complete the western gateway intersection of Da Nang City, ensuring safety and smooth traffic on the Eastern North-South Expressway, the section passing through the city...

Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy said that the Project investment procedures are being accelerated, with the goal of starting the Project in December 2025.
