(NADS) - On the evening of December 15th, at APEC Park (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City), the Hai Chau District Cultural and Sports Center, in coordination with the Hai Chau District Military Command, the Da Nang Port Border Guard Command, and the Da Nang Photography Club, organized the photo exhibition "80 Years of Pride - Stepping Towards the Future".
The program aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
Accordingly, from 500 submitted works, the Organizing Committee selected 80 works, corresponding to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, from 35 authors who are members of the Da Nang Photography Club and documentary photos provided by the Hai Chau District Military Command and the Da Nang Port Border Guard Command. Among the works on display are also works by renowned photographers Nguyen A, Giang Son Dong, Tran Nhan Quyen , Huynh Nam Dong, and Le Hoang Men, who enthusiastically supported the Club's movement and submitted works of high artistic value to the exhibition.
The photo exhibition "80 Years of Pride - Stepping Towards the Future" acknowledges the positive contributions of photographers and photo artists who have vividly reflected the image of soldiers in carrying out their duties and in their daily lives through the lens of photography and documentary images.
The exhibition showcases high-value photographic works, rich in ideological and artistic content, depicting images of soldiers and bridging the gap between the military and civilians; serving the cultural enjoyment needs of locals and tourists visiting APEC Park.
The exhibition aims to widely disseminate among the entire population and armed forces the image and noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers; to educate and enhance patriotism, love for socialism, and revolutionary heroism among the younger generation; and to encourage and motivate the entire population and armed forces to focus on strengthening national defense and security, building a strong people's armed forces, and firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.
The photo exhibition "80 Years of Pride - Stepping Towards the Future" will run until December 31, 2024, to serve the people, officials, soldiers of the armed forces, and tourists who come to visit and learn.
On this occasion, to acknowledge the positive contributions of photographers and photography enthusiasts, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates to photographers whose works were featured in the exhibition.
