Da Nang: Opening of the Artistic Photography Exhibition “80 Years of Pride”

(NADS) - On the evening of December 15, at APEC Park (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City), the Hai Chau District Cultural - Sports Center coordinated with the Hai Chau District Military Command, the Da Nang Port Border Guard Command and the Da Nang Photography Club to organize the photo exhibition "80 years of pride - Firm steps towards the future".

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the photo exhibition "80 years of pride - Firm steps towards the future".

The program aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

Accordingly, from 500 submitted works, the Organizing Committee selected 80 works, corresponding to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army by 35 authors who are members of the Da Nang Photography Club and documentary photos provided by the Hai Chau District Military Command and the Da Nang Port Border Guard Command. The works on display at the exhibition also include works by famous photographers Nguyen A, Giang Son Dong, Tran Nhan Quyen , Huynh Nam Dong, Le Hoang Men, these are artists who enthusiastically supported the Club's movement and sent works of high artistic value to the exhibition.

The photo exhibition “80 years of pride - Firm steps towards the future” recognizes the positive contributions of photographers and photography artists who have vividly reflected the image of soldiers in performing their duties and in daily life through a photographic perspective and through documentary images.

The exhibition introduces photographic works of high ideological and artistic value about the image of soldiers, connecting the image of the army and people; serving the cultural enjoyment needs of people and tourists when visiting APEC Park.

The exhibition aims to widely propagate to the entire people and the entire army the image and noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers;educate and enhance patriotism, love for socialism, and revolutionary heroism for the young generation; encourage and motivate the entire people and the entire army to take care of consolidating national defense and security, building a strong people's armed forces, and firmly protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

The photo exhibition "80 years of pride - Firm steps towards the future" lasts until December 31, 2024 to serve the people, officers, soldiers of the armed forces and tourists to visit and learn.

On this occasion, to recognize the positive contributions of photographers and photography lovers, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates to photographers whose works participated in the exhibition.
