Da Nang continuously welcomes Indian couples to get married at 5-star resort

In early 2024, Da Nang welcomed nearly 1,000 wedding guests of Indian couples coming to hold weddings at international-class resorts.

The Danang Tourism Promotion Center said that following the wedding of bride Kashmera and groom Inderdeep, taking place from January 19 to 21, 2024 with nearly 500 guests, taking place at the Sheraton Grand Danang Resort, Danang will welcome 2 more Indian couples to hold their wedding in February 2024. Specifically, the bride couple Kulvin Kaur and groom Dilip Bhagwan chose Hyatt Regency Danang as the wedding venue from February 2 to 4, 2024 with the participation of more than 200 guests. Danang Marriot is the next resort to host the wedding of bride Heena Paryani and groom Bhisham Ramchandani, taking place from February 29 to March 2, 2024.

Both couples are of Indian origin, currently living and working in Singapore and the Philippines. The couples still maintain Indian traditions with a series of grand wedding ceremonies. With more than 200 guests for each wedding, the total number of hotel rooms for the two weddings reached more than 650 room nights, staying at two international-class resorts in Da Nang. Mr. Dhinesh Rajarathinam, CEO of Dated Luxury Weddings Consulting and Event Organization Co., Ltd., the organizer of the two recent weddings in Da Nang, shared that in 2024, the unit received requests for wedding consulting for about 30 international couples. Particularly for couples from India, this company organized weddings for 5 couples in the first quarter of 2024, including a venue in Da Nang. According to Mr. Dhinesh Rajarathinam, grasping the trend of couples choosing destinations, the company expects to organize about 20 international weddings this year, including 6-8 Indian couples. 3 large weddings of Indian couples and dozens of weddings of couples in the form of wedding tourism took place in the first 2 months of 2024, which is a positive signal for the destination of Da Nang. Identifying wedding tourism as a new product, the Department of Tourism will focus resources on organizing a series of activities to promote and advertise this segment with the expectation of becoming a favorite emerging wedding tourism destination in the Asia region.
