On the afternoon of April 21, in Da Nang City, a seminar on investment in the high-tech sector of Da Nang City took place, organized by the Investment Promotion and Support Board, the Management Board of the High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks (IPs) of Da Nang City, and Long Hau Joint Stock Company.
At the workshop, in addition to questions about policies and incentives of Da Nang City on attracting investment in the high-tech sector, delegates were interested in infrastructure for accommodation and human resource training to develop a team of experts, high-quality human resources, and highly skilled workers.
Da Nang High-Tech Park
According to Mr. Vu Quang Hung, Head of the Management Board of the High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks of Da Nang City, the northwest area of Da Nang City currently has the High-Tech Park, Concentrated IT Park, Lien Chieu Industrial Park, Hoa Khanh Industrial Park... and soon Lien Chieu Port.
Therefore, the interest and demand of investors in solving housing for experts and workers is very urgent. However, Da Nang City does not form small residential areas in high-tech zones as well as industrial parks because with a scale of only a few dozen hectares, residents do not enjoy full urban social infrastructure.

Since this area already has some urban areas, Da Nang City will work and call for investors to aim to become a logistics urban area for industrial parks in the area. Currently, investors also agree to soon develop adequate social infrastructure to serve the huge needs of the working team here, helping investors in the high-tech sector as well as industrial parks feel secure about social amenities.
Ms. Huynh Lien Phuong, Director of the Investment Promotion and Support Department of Da Nang City, added that for human resources in the high-tech sector, the city currently lacks training schools compared to the scale, development speed and recruitment needs.
Danang Investment Promotion and Support Board, Danang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks Management Board and Long Hau Joint Stock Company signed a cooperation agreement.
Ms. Huynh Lien Phuong cited that in the field of logistics, there is currently only one university that provides training but it is not specialized, there is no logistics major. "It is true that we have not invested much in training, only focusing on infrastructure, this is also an opportunity for interested investors. If we invest in logistics training schools, it will attract the whole Central - Central Highlands region, not just Da Nang," Ms. Huynh Lien Phuong said.
As of March 2023, Da Nang City has 980 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of more than 4 billion USD. Accumulated to March 2023, the city attracted 516 investment projects in the High-Tech Park, Concentrated IT Park and 6 Industrial Parks, contributing to the economic restructuring of the city, enhancing competitiveness for regional and international integration.
