On the evening of June 10, at the Cultural Center of Bac Lieu province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Cambodia to organize an art program to open the Cambodian Cultural Week 2025 in Vietnam.

Attending the program were Ms. Lundi Sannara - Secretary of State, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia; Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam.
On the side of Bac Lieu province, there were comrade Huynh Quoc Viet - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee; members of the Provincial Association of Patriotic Buddhist Monks and Nuns, armed forces soldiers, union members, Khmer ethnic students.
Comrade Huynh Quoc Viet - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee enjoyed the art program.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ngo Vu Thang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that Bac Lieu is very honored to be chosen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the venue for the Cambodia Cultural Week in Vietnam. This is an event of special significance, contributing positively to consolidating, enhancing and further developing the good neighborly relations, traditional friendship, comprehensive, sustainable and long-term cooperation between the two countries. The relationship has been built and nurtured by King Norodom Sihanouk and generations of Vietnamese leaders and the people of the two countries, and has been and is being consolidated and sustainably developed in all fields.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Ngo Vu Thang delivered a welcome speech at the program.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Bac Lieu has over 78,000 Khmer people, accounting for 7.6% of the population, with 22 Khmer Theravada Buddhist pagodas. In recent years, the material and spiritual life of the Khmer people has improved a lot, the security and order situation in the villages is stable; the Khmer cultural identity has spread widely, from festivals, folk dances, pentatonic music to traditional costumes, which have not only been preserved but also welcomed and loved by the majority of people in the ethnic minority communities in the province.

Ms. Lundi Sannara - Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia affirmed that the Cambodian Cultural Week in Vietnam in 2025 is an important milestone in implementing the Vietnam - Cambodia cultural and artistic cooperation plan (2023 - 2027 period). Activities at the Cultural Week bring Vietnamese audiences to better understand the country and people of Cambodia and connect the solidarity between the two nations, bringing the Vietnam - Cambodia cooperative relationship to a new height.

Speaking at the art program, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam - Hoang Dao Cuong informed that this year's Cambodian Cultural Week in Vietnam took place in Bac Lieu and Vinh Long provinces to introduce to the Vietnamese people the unique culture of Cambodia. Along with the art program in Bac Lieu, the activities in Vinh Long province created conditions for people in the border areas of the two countries to exchange and introduce unique cultural features, contributing to strengthening solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The leaders presented flowers to thank the artists of the Cambodian art troupe.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, artists and actors of the Cambodian art troupe performed cultural performances about the country and people of Cambodia such as: peacock dance, Apsara dance, coconut shell dance, umbrella stage...
