On the morning of May 25, thousands of candidates and parents were present at the National Economics University to learn about the school's regular university admissions this year.
During the Q&A session, the National Economics University Admissions Advisory Board received many hot questions from candidates and parents. A candidate is concerned about the program taught in English, the curriculum of specialized subjects is translated from the school's standard program or provided by another unit. Or another candidate asks if it is possible to register for 2 groups A01 (Math, Physics, English) and D01 (Math, Literature, English) for 1 major.
According to Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of Training Management Department, National Economics University, this year, the school has 73 enrollment codes (7 more than in 2024) with 89 training programs. Of which, 39 training program codes are in Vietnamese (standard program); 20 training program codes are in English; 7 application-oriented training program codes (POHE); 7 new enrollment codes in 2025: 2 new training majors in Vietnamese: International Trade Law and Labor Relations, 2 advanced training program codes (including 5 programs), 3 high-quality training program codes (16 programs).
The total enrollment target of the National Economics University for full-time undergraduate students will increase by about 6% compared to 2024, with a total target of 8,200. The school maintains 3 stable enrollment methods. Of which, direct enrollment according to the Ministry's regulations accounts for 3% of the target. Admission based on graduation exam results and combined admission accounts for 97% of the target.
Dr. Le Anh Duc affirmed that the training program is in English, students study general subjects according to the compulsory regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnamese (Party History, Philosophy - Marxism-Leninism...), all specialized subjects are studied in English. The difference is that the curriculum is "imported" by the school from universities around the world and is within the initial standard requirements according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Thus, the standard program and the English program, the framework program are the same but the curriculum is different.
Dr. Le Anh Duc added that on July 23, the National Economics University will announce the official conversion table of scores for all methods to a common scale. Mr. Duc said that according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, in 2025, the admission methods of each university must be converted to a scale. The National Economics University will convert the methods to a 30-point scale for admission.
“Candidates with a lot of admission data such as international language certificates, Hanoi National University's competency assessment test scores, and thinking assessment test scores, need to enter data into the school's system before June 30 so that the school has a basis for conversion.
In addition, the school also relies on other data such as the academic results of many students admitted to the school in recent years, with reference to the score distribution information announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on high school graduation exam scores and score distribution of this year's competency assessment and thinking assessment exams.
