According to Ho Chi Minh City National University, during the second round of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University on June 1, some unexpected technical problems occurred in examination rooms 39 and 42, at examination site 17, examination cluster 9. These problems affected the test-taking process of some candidates.
To ensure legitimate rights and create fair conditions for affected candidates, Ho Chi Minh City National University decided to organize a supplementary exam, exclusively for candidates in this situation.
The supplementary exam will take place from 1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 13, 2025. The exam location is at Ho Chi Minh City National University, Linh Xuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Candidates who take the supplementary exam are those who took the exam in rooms 39 and 42, test site 17, test cluster 9, round 2 of the competency assessment exam. Candidates do not have to pay a fee to take the supplementary exam.
Ho Chi Minh City National University also noted that when registering for the supplementary exam, the second round exam results of the candidates will be canceled and no longer valid for admission consideration.

Ho Chi Minh City National University also said that detailed notices about the additional capacity assessment exam have been sent to each candidate, and at the same time apologized to the affected candidates and committed to supporting candidates to participate in the additional exam in the most convenient way.
The second round of the competency assessment exam was held on June 1 with about 94,000 candidates participating, more than double the number of candidates in the same round in 2024 (about 42,290 candidates).
